You are located at the Ocean County Historical Society- Telling the story of Ocean County. This structure was originally built as a Victorian home in the 1880’s. It was the residence of a local prominent sea captain. The house has since then been preserved and is used as the heart of our historical trail and the archives of our local heritage. Today, the museum features Native American implements, period furnishings, artifacts, local industries, artwork, photos and collections of literature as well as maps and records of Toms River.
